Overview
About Me
I'm a student from Freiburg/ Black forest living in Hamburg since 5 years. Before I began to study I travelled different countries in South-America, Europe, India and South-East-Asia for more or less two years. That was when I discovered my curiosity and enthusiasm for foreign cultures, people and languages.
Since september 2018 I am living in Donostia/San Sebastián, Basque Country enyoing the amazing landscapes and the fascinating basque culture.
!! SORRY, CAN'T HOST YOU AT THE MOMENT because of studying abroad for a year!!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Hello world!
I'm a 24-year old girl from Germany who loves to travel in an authentic way, which (for me) means to meet local people in their familiar surroundings, hear their stories, get to know their favourite places and maybe also get inspiration from their way of life. Couchsurfing is perfect for that!!
I also want to offer couchsurfing at my home in Hamburg to return the hospitality I experienced all over the world.
Interests
If it`s possible I dedicate a lot of my spare time to outdoor activities such like hiking and surfing. I love being in the nature.
In San Sebastián I started doing AkroYoga and I love the combination of getting in pure contact with another person, doing acrobatics and finding an equilibrium together.
I am a social person, I often meet friends to cook or to have a beer or wine and talk, but also need and love having time for my own.
I love magic card tricks and riddles.
I am really interested in communication and human dynamics, so last year I completed a vocational training for being a professional mediator besides my studies.
I try to live a sustainable and ecological lifestyle, in Hamburg I am a active member of foodsharing, where we save foods from being wasted.
I love chocolate!

Music, Movies, and Books
Hard to select!!
Movies: Wes Anderson movies, true stories, documentals,..
Books: Tschingis Aitmatow, Haruki Murakami,..
Music: Really depends on place and atmosphere. I have no idea what that genre is called, but I listen a lot to electronic music combined with folklore or traditional rhythms or combined with classical instruments. I also like spanish guitar, singer-songwriter stuff, balkan rhythms and am generally open to new sounds!
Teach, Learn, Share
I think the first step to understand and appreciate a different culture is to get in real and value-free contact with its people. Through couchsurfing I hope to contribute to more exchange and acceptance between my and foreign cultures in the world. Because there is always more than one way to look at something. And you never stop learning, no matter how old you are.. :)
We could: cook either a typical dish or just invent a new meal ;), teach eachother some words, go out together and discover the surroundings or just hang out and chat.
