About Me

Studying Art History. Movie and TV-Series obsessed. Passionate cook and baker. Love travelling, don't do it as much as I never have enough money x)
Love books, love different cultures (especially the art, the lifestyle and of course THE FOOD! :D)

I come across as quite shy at first (especially when speaking english - my perfectionist attitude towards speaking without errors prevents me a little bit from speaking freely and being comfortable at first), but don't worry I warm into it pretty quickly. Once you get to know me I could go on and on about things I'm passionate about. ;)

What I should also mention is that we are very open-minded and don't discriminate against anything that nowadays causes controversy. We believe in being human and letting your actions speak for you. And in treating everyone with the same respect and not interfering with someone's rights and beliefs.
If you cannot think the same way I'm not sure you would feel comfortable with us. (Although I feel most of the travelling population does feel the same way.)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We have two couches. But they are more like single beds, so why not have someone over and save them a lot of money. That was my thought process.
Also I could use a couch free of charge from time to time. Makes travelling a lot more affordable.

And on top you get to meet great and diverse people. :)

I have no official couchsurfing experience, but there have been people over on my couch that I met while going out. So I actually have hosted before, just not via this platform ;)

Music, Movies, and Books

WAY TOO MANY.

I give everything a go and decide afterwards. So I guess it would be easier to tell you what I don't like.

I hate Austrian/German music called Schlager. It's the stuff you listen to when you're drunk and at a hut in the mountains.
I don't like Reality TV shows, obvious and trivial humor (the more sarcastic and black the better) and cheap horror movies.
Also I cannot stand synchronised versions of films. I always watch the original version, with subtitles if it's not an english movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know. I went to Brazil for a month when I was 15 to visit a friend. Does that count?
Oh and last year I spent a month in Croatia and did a bungee-jump. I'm afraid of heights, don't like men built structures and don't trust ropes that much. So that was pretty amazing for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

As meeting new people and talking to them always broadens my horizon, I guess it's a vice versa process. So I can teach, learn and share stuff about me and our guests.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Croatia, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Scotland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Thailand, Tunisia, Turkey, United States
