About Me

There are three major loves in my life: painting, yoga and traveling. All of these relate to my passion to know and grow with people. A majority of my paintings are portraits because I believe you can gain so much from intensively studying someone. I practice yoga because it has made me aware of myself and in turn more aware of others. I share both of these things through teaching. Finally, I travel because I love immersing myself in new cultures.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read tons of memoirs, biographies and autobiographies. I love people and I love their stories. F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Glennon Doyle, Paul Yoon, Maya Angelou, Osho, Walt Whitman, and Cheryl Strayedare my favorite writers. I've recently immersed myself in poetry. The abstraction seems to be the most honest thing I've encountered in so long. Marie Howe is my obsession. As for music, any singer where I can hear raw emotion in their voices speak to me on a fundamental level.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I just finished scuba diving with manta rays, whale sharks and reef sharks in Asia. Scuba diving is like a portal into another world for me. It slows me Dow and reminds I'm a part of something so much bigger than myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm perpetually a student and a teacher. The two are intertwined for me. I spent a year and a half teaching the most incredible Korean 6 yr olds. No one else could have taught me more about love than those children. I've taught art to junior high students, apprenticed as a restoration artist, taught yoga, studied yoga in India, spent 2 years as an assistant to a 95 yr old woman who started an art foundation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can lead you in yoga classes, guided meditation, or art classes. Id love to paint your portrait and write a little piece of your story.
