Hi guys ! This account is for both my husband (Samer, 26M) and me (Leah, 27F).

We are both PhD students from Albi, a charming city in the South of France. Feel free to send host requests, we'll be happy to welcome you ! We have a little kitty cat so beware if you have allergies !

Samer lived his entire life in Lebanon (Middle East) and then moved to France in 2020 so we can get married. As for me (Leah), I was born and raised in France but I travelled to Lebanon almost every year of my life as my father is Lebanese.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We're going on a three-week trip to Thailand at the start of 2024 and we are extremely eager to discover the culture and meet locals!

Leah: I've travelled to several countries before and my favorite part has always been talking to locals. You can go on hikes, visit museums and eat great food everywhere... but I find that the most authentic way to discover a culture is to exchange with the locals. I can't wait to meet you guys!

Leah: I love pop music and although I'm not a huge movie fan, I enjoy rom-coms a lot (it's a guilty pleasure). I would also watch interesting documentaries or movies inspired from reality. When it comes to books, it's something else! I love self development books (productivity, mindfulness, neuroscience, nutrition, minimalism, etc.) and classics (even though I'm still very poor in that department).

Samer: I can talk to you about Industrial and Electrical engineering, politics in Lebanon in the Middle East, religion (Islam). If you end up visiting, ask me how I met my wife !

Leah: I would love to talk about your culture and your life experiences :) Currently, I am mostly interested in minimalism, self development, and well-being.

What I Can Share with Hosts

We can either welcome you in a private room (there will be a mattress on the ground) or in our living room (we have a huge angle couch).

Remember that we have a cat and that she might be active at night too!

We will do our best to free ourselves during your stay (but we still have to work during the week-days). We can also leave you be if that is what you prefer. However, if you are just looking for free accommodation, we are not the host you are looking for as we really want to meet people! :)
