About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I do not seek; I find.
I'd rather regret the things I've done than regret the things I didn't do.
The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.- Mark Twain
My love of traveling started with hitchhiking around Europe, and only grew after cycling, rafting, and teaching abroad. I love to explore new places, make connections with cultures and nature, and find the tastiest traditional vegetarian and vegan-friendly meals around the world.
PHILOSOPHY
Never let fear keep you from you doing what you want to do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing has allowed me to meet tons of amazing people from all over the world and connect in such a personal way. I like to live my life with a 'pay it forward' kind of outlook. I just moved to Beirut so I won't be the best tour guide; rather, we can explore new places together.
Interests
Anything new- no matter how small/simple- can make your life engaging and fascinating. Standing on the side of a road with letters written on a piece of cardboard was one of the most enjoyable experiences that I've ever had. Apart from traveling- and saying "yes" more"- I enjoy yoga, art, trying new cuisine, sport, hiking, and any activity that pushes the body or soul. When you stop pushing yourself, you fall into a mundane routine and lose the spark that we all have deep down.

Music, Movies, and Books
Les Miserables, A Thousand Splendid Suns, The Kite Runner, The Book Thief, Revolutionary Road, We, 1984, anything by F.Scott Fitzgerald, The Bridges of Madison County, The Catcher in the Rye, Beat Generation novels; anything that will give me an interesting perspective or that simply tells an amazing story!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I went to Poland to teach English for two weeks. I ended up missing my flight and staying an extra week, hitch hiking across three countries with a British guy I met in Poland. I flew back to America and, after about four days, quit my job, left my apartment and all of my friends and family. I returned to Europe to continue hitch hiking with one of the best people I've ever met, and have been happier than I ever thought possible. We cycled across Europe on $35 bikes, then built a raft and sailed down the Danube River for 271 km before being forced to stop by the police. I love being outside and traveling as eco-friendly as possible when I can!
