ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm Leah! For as long as I can remember I have been renting travel books from the library. As a little girl I would flip through the pages of giant-sized books filled with photographs from Ireland, Africa, Italy, Switzerland and more. I always dreamed of travelling the entire world and used to say with faith that I would one day visit every country in the world. The day has come that I start this mission! I recently had my first out-of-country experience AND first couch-surfing experience in Montreal, Cananda. From the moment I crossed the border and realized that I was in a new country, I knew that my desire to travel the world had only been a mere spark but was now a flame. I hope to couchsurf across Italy, France and Ireland this summer.

I am a Junior at WCSU majoring in Nursing with a minor in Anthropology. I hope to use my combined major and minor to travel the world helping those in need. I love community service and cannot wait for the opportunity to help out the international community in any way I can during my travels.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is not truly my own but comes from a higher source: Jesus Christ. I treat others as I would want to be treated, I love others, I do not hate, I spread God's message of PEACE and I live to serve those around me as Christ served us.

I live because Christ died for me. I want to bring joy into people's lives, I want to bring light into places where there is darkness.

I want to see a day when peace reigns this world and I want to be a part of that.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience was a mere week ago but it was one of the BEST experiences of my life. I couchsurfed for a weekend in Montreal, Canada. The people I stayed with were amazing and became fast friends. Couchsurfing opened up the opportunity to meet people and become fully immersed in the culture of Quebec. It was an exerience I have never had, but one that I look forward to next time I travel somewhere!
