About Me

ABOUT ME

Hello Couchsurfers! I am Leah, a small town girl from Mississippi. I was raised on a ranch and have ridden horses my whole life. I really love the outdoors, sports and adventure :) I am really extroverted and I love to be around people, looking for every opportunity to travel, throw a party, or just hangout at home with friends. I am rather silly, and try to add humor to most situations.

PHILOSOPHY

"Take your time going and hurry back."
"Life's all about making memories"
"Que me quiten lo bailado."
"Never regret anything, because at one point it was exactly what you wanted"
"lo que no aprovehen los humanos se comen los gusanos" "Safety first, then teamwork" - Travis Anderson
:)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am trying my best to give as much as I receive. I love hosting and surfing. I have traveled around Europe and made some unforgettable memories.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had some wonderful experiences with Couchsurfers, hosting, surfing, weekend trips throughout Spain, holidays in Italy and making some really close friendships. I feel like a better, more open minded person after every conversation and with every experience I learn more about the world and about myself.

Interests

I really love sports, I played Lacrosse in college. Now I love to run, cycle, play ultimate Frisbee. I am competitive and really get into what ever game i am playing. I have found it difficult to participate in sports nowadays but my friends and I can really get into a good game of Killer Uno.

I love experiencing new cultures and I really, really love learning Spanish. It really makes me happy to finally be able to speak and understand another language. I consider myself fortunate to have lived in Spain. I have a first hand experience of the language and culture here.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love artists such as Seasick Steve, Amos Lee, 90's country, and country bluse but, I am really bad at knowing the names of anything famous; movies, songs, artists, series on TV...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming on horseback in the lake on the Waterfall trail at Paradise Guest Ranch, Loping with my arms open on Ace, roping my first steer, sky diving, snorkeling in Cozumel, Mexico, traveling through the Bocas del Toro, Panama, running my horses on the trail behind my ranch in Wiggins, MS, experiencing the Crystal clear waters of the Mediterranean in Roquetas de Mar, Spain and skipping school to go sailing in them, experiencing the mountain towns of Las Alpujaras, Spain, Road trip to the Basque Country in which we camped in the cold and rain along the highway, earning the nickname Michelin Man, playing tag on horseback at a dude ranch, having safety meetings, listening to Papa Dragon tell stories ha!.... this is only the beginning!!

Teach, Learn, Share

Want to learn about horses and or dude ranching? I can share about 2.5 summers wranglin' dudes in the Big Horn Mountains and the beginnings of a career working for the Dude Ranchers' Association in Cody, Wyoming.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Yours, mine and ours... it all kind of blurs together for me.

Countries I’ve Visited

Honduras, Italy, Mexico, Panama, Spain
