About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Continue to make my way around the world meeting people, learning new languages, cultures, spreading peace and making memories! I am always trying to grow and learn! I am also trying to promote my passions and positivity.
ABOUT ME
I'm 21 years young living on a tiny island on the very west coast of Canada called Vancouver Island. No, not Vancouver, but very close. I left home recently by myself to go out and experience the world.
I have worked in labour camps for around 2 years in northern BC, I have spent 8 months working and traveling around Australia, and I have recently starting studying at university in my home town Nanaimo. Currently I am just taking general studies as I still don't know what I want to be when I grow up.
I enjoy meeting new people, learning about different cultures and learning languages. Eating well and exercise regularily is something I strongly believe in. I love running, weight lifting, swimming and anything that involves being active. I've also found a new passion for hoop dancing.
Last year I was abroad in Australia on a work holiday visa. I ended up breaking my hand while I was out on a cattle station and was shipped back home. My trip was interrupted slightly, my plans were changes drastically. When I went home I met a few new people, one who I have been happily dating for the past year, and decided to start studying.
Although I am now in school, travel is still a big part of my life! My boyfriend and I are currently on a Southern USA road trip and we would love to meet some cool people!
PHILOSOPHY
Be respectful, love each other, smile and laugh often. Listen with the intent to understand not to respond. It isn't about how long you live, it's about how you live.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people from all over the world, learn about their culture and share mine with them.
Interests
Traveling, hula hooping, meeting people, reading with a nice cup of tea, good music, weight lifting, running, swimming in the sea, exploring... I also enjoy eating good food and drinking good beer.

Music, Movies, and Books
My musical taste has such a large range from the calming tunes of City and Colour to the upbeat party beats of Above and Beyond! Here's a list of some of my go to artists: MGMT, City and Colour, Krewella, Lykke Li, Die Antwoord, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Bon Iver, Skrillex, Ellie Goulding, Milky Chance, Hozier, and Ed Sheeran are just a few. I'm always happy to hear new tunes! I love love love good music!
I'm not a massive movie person, but I do enjoy a good comedy or even a documentary. I really will watch anything worth while. I often have a large list of films recommended. My absolute favourite film is Finding Nemo. I could easy quote the entire movie.
I enjoy curling up with a good book and a nice hot cup of tea. I'm quite open to read anything however! Recently I have been more interested in reading news articles and non fiction pieces to educate myself more on what's happening in the world.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Moved 13 000km away from home at 19.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some pretty simple hula hoop skills/tricks and some funny, yet useful German phrases.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good vibes, good banter and chocolate. Also I can entertain them with mediocre hoop dancing. I'm happy to help with things around the house, cleaning and what not. And I am usually down for a few drinks.
