ABOUT ME

Him: Grew up in Elazar, south of Jerusalem, where his parents hosted "surfers" for the last 30 years. Did army for 3 years, is now in university to study Engineering. A true kind soul, he is a lighthearted adventure seeker who dreams to one day see every little corner of the world.

Her: An intellectual artist, consummate foodie and collector of skills and experiences. Loves sculpture, good friends, new friends, good tattoos, playtime, great food/drink from around the world, and landscapes. Doesn't like crowds. Works to live-not the other way around. Has a soft spot for all things furry and four-footed, and plans to one day foster as many dogs as possible without driving him crazy. Managed to build a pretty nice life despite the difficulty of starting over from scratch in a new country with a new language as a new citizen. Made some of the best friends of my life along the way.

Together: Israelis with a thirst for new experiences; We prefer a wine or food festival to a music festival, though we love music and I have been to many over the years. We are more creatures of comfort than gritty explorers, and while we love the idea of hiking and camping for a month in the wilderness, we are more likely to end up in a cabin on the lake for the weekend. We have a dog,(no kids yet)--sorry to anyone with allergies, this may not be the "couch" for you.

PHILOSOPHY

Discovering new special people who are going to change my life, and new places that will forever leave an impression fuels me in the most amazing way. Nothing else gives me a rush like that except maybe discovering new beautiful music, my other passion. I try to live more days discovering new things than days spent just living, in this way, I feel I have accomplished something wonderful.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Would like to host surfers that may turn into long term friendships and maybe surf a few "couches" down the road.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Friends and family when we go back to the states, and occasionally during University. Good hosts and hostesses really stand out from the less considerate, we try to be the former, rather than the latter, as we know that it is often harder to be a guest than it is to be a host.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I love and breathe music though I don't play, but I don't think that stops me from from identifying as musical. I love rock and alternative, especially 90's rock, but I'm not exclusive, if it's good, I'll listen to it, watch it, or read it. (Sci-fi, fantasy, historical fiction, personal growth)
