ABOUT ME

I am very personal, passionate, and friendly. I love encouraging people to pursue what is in their heart and share with them what is really meaningful. I have found that this, for me, is making quality connections with people all over the world. I enjoy going on spontaneous, high-energy adventures such as midnight long runs, day-long bike rides around cities, and epicurean feasts. I seek adventure and new experiences. I can't sit still or sleep in knowing there is something to learn.

PHILOSOPHY

I have too many. Currently, I seem to think that connecting with people drives {my} ability to live happily. I believe that balance is key to maintaining a happy, healthy life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am new to CouchSurfing BUT I have met some pretty amazing people who have surfed on our couch in Columbia, MO. Some of these people I have deeply connected with and learned a lot from. Most everyone who comes through is very interesting.

Interests

Interacting with people is hands down the most gratifying experience this life has to offer. I enjoy being in an environment where I can be creative and free. I love youth culture and getting to know good music, the people behind the music, and those who rely on it to color their daily routines. My inner creativity has led me to dabble in a breadth of activities: learning Japanese and Russian; vegan baking; fermenting tea and kimchi, making music... I love creating. Specifically designing packaging, ceramic dinnerware, installation art, and anything with my hands. I make art as my career and study nutritional science and language as hobbies. Being active is essential to enjoying life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Running marathons has taught me I have the strength and will to do anything I commit to over time. Surviving the recent earthquake in Japan has brought to my attention that I have yet another day to explore this space called Earth, learn about myself, and deeply connect to what is meaningful to me. Acquiring language is a gratifying study on the human brain. Physical training is an experiment of the human body. Creating is freedom.
