About Me

I'm a fun loving, adventurous person who loves to travel--but more importantly, discover new cultures and get involved with the people who are living there. I love to experience a place through the "eyes of the locals."

I am creative. I graduated from university in May of 2013 and currently lead art schools in Amsterdam as a part of Youth with a Mission -- training and equipping missionaries around the world!

I also love exploration--exploring ideas, cultures, music, food, art... you name it! A good book, my tattered sketchbook and my iPod are my constant companions. I love getting lost in the worlds of 1984, Jane Eyre, To Kill a Mockingbird et cetera. I love concerts and good music. Some of my favorites include: Radical Face, Bon Iver, Andrew Belle, Arctic Monkeys, Daft Punk, Paper Route...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For now, I surf. I surf when I can when I take vacation hours to explore. Exploration is quite thrilling when you get to meet new people as well. :)

I'm looking at getting my own apartment in Amsterdam, but for now I live in my organization's housing so I cannot take guests. When I do have my own place, maybe you can stop by for a visit! :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Daft Punk, basically

Books: I love thought-provoking books. So I love classics that comment upon society like To Kill a Mockingbird and 1984. I also love a good book that develops a hero/heroine like Jane Austen's books or any of the Bronte sisters (Wuthering Heights is a tragically beautiful tale).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rock climbing in the Lake District of England took my breath away. The nature there is stunning! Or that is tied with sleeping under the stars in Wadi Rum, Jordan.

Looking up at the stars--no matter where you are as long as you can see them--always without a doubt, takes my breath away!
