About Me

I'm 27, originally from Milton Keynes in England but moved around the UK for university.

I've just finished a PhD so now I'm finally free to travel the world!

I like trying new food, meeting people, and trying new sports.

I'm pretty easy-going, curious, but sometimes a little shy!

Previously, I haven't lived anywhere I could host people, I've always lived with flatmates who didn't want to host - that's why I have no references.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I really like meeting new people and I love seeing a place through the eyes of someone who actually lives there. I like to experience different cultures and customs and I'm generally just curious! I'm hoping by using couchsurfing I'll make new friends around the world and when I've finally settled on somewhere to live I can return the favour.

Interests

I like trying new sports and keeping active. Recently, I've been weight training and hot yoga. I like cycling although I'm not very fast! I used to do rock climbing and judo but I like my sports with less of an adrenaline rush now!

I LOVE food, trying new food, experimenting with recipes, baking - it's all brilliant and one of my favourite parts of going to new places.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can share my (ok, limited but enthusiastic) cooking skills. I'm an amateur photographer/ working on my insta as a way of recording the places I go and the people I meet. I'm a scientist (immunologist) so I can try and answer any questions...

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm not looking for just a place to crash. If I wanted to stay in hostels or hotels I could do that. I'm interested in meeting new people and trying new things, whether it's food or culture or going to art exhibitions or whatever.

I'm perfectly happy doing things by myself but I would really like to meet new people so we can learn from each other.
