About Me
I work for a growing software company helping developers build integrations with our platform. Outside of work I wear many other hats ranging from super mom to bar fly and everything in between. I am an aspiring novelist who hasn't written more than a short story in 10 years, an amateur photographer, and pro adventure planner. Other interests include cooking, collecting vintage crockery (and thrift shopping in general), looking for beaches, lying in a hammock, psychology and neuroscience, live music, watching police procedurals while eating ice cream, spending an hour deciding where to eat, learning to code, pub quiz.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like meeting new people and sharing my home. The most I have ever hosted at once was 8 people - a whole travelling band. I'm a firm believer that a little hospitality can go a long way.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm most drawn to folk/country/bluegrass style musicians, but I like a wide range of stuff. The bands I've been listening to most lately are: Old Crow Medicine Show, CCR, David Bowie, The Wooden Sky, Prince, Tom Waits, John Prine, The Band, Fleetwood Mac, The Devil Makes Three, Corb Lund, Gram Parsons, The Smiths, The Velvet Underground.
For movies I'm a big fan of David Lynch, Wes Anderson, Christopher Nolan, David Fincher.
Currently reading: 'We are never meeting in real life' by Samantha Irby and 'Black Butterfly' by Mark Gatiss
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Is this where I'm supposed to write about like, riding an elephant or climbing a mountain or bungee jumping or something? I haven't done many especially extraordinary things, but I guess I find simple things amazing, like discovering a part of my city I've never seen before or finding a cool waterfront spot or taking an unexpectedly awesome day trip. I have a 6 year old and 8 year old who I take care of on my own 60% of the time - I guess that's amazing. Oh, and I can make bread in a dutch oven. I'm very accomplished.
