About Me
I try to find the beautiful side in everything and everyone
I'm the kind of very cheerful girl who is always smiling. The sort of person you first think is laughing at you only to find out later that she's just enthusiastic about small details in life. I would say that I have quite a black humour so up to you to judge whether it's your taste. But besides laughing I also adore to have critical and reflective discussions. And that all the more when they get heated up because we don't agree on a subject because I think it's only through arguing and trying to understand the others point of view that we can evolve. I'm a very curious person which means that I'm easily interested in everyone and everything. I like to do spontaneous and sometimes even slightly crazy things.
My philosophy: Tolerance's precondition is the consciousness that our way of thinking is always a conditional one (Max Frisch)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It all started when I participated in the great winesurfing weekend in Slovakia in 2012. I realized what a great CS community there was and got even more excited with the weekly "deep talks about nothing" in Bratislava. This is why I started organizing weekly CS meetings in Belarus, Minks were they didn't exist before. This was simply mind-blowing and I'm glad that one of my dear Belarusian friends has taken this over since I've left in May 2013.
I've hosted and surfed a lot since then... I've travelled with surfers and met up with them to either show them my city or be guided by them at several occasions. Every single of all those experiences was unforgettable, which is why I hope a lot more will follow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Danced with eight Cuban pensioners at St.Valentine's on a plaza of a small village.
Got lost in Athens and sat on a stranger's motorbike in the middle of a crossroad. He promised he'd bring me to the place I was looking for...and he did :)
Teach, Learn, Share
I could probably make things up about the current crisis in Ukraine and pretend I'm an expert in the region, but quite frankly I'm not. So I guess my only real strength are languages. I am fluent in seven languages. However, Russian and Serbian are the ones I need to practice most, so if you speak either, your couch is almost guaranteed :) But Spanish is a next aim as well, so I wouldn't mind some Spanish lessons, either.
But no worries, I'm convinced we can learn from ANY person on this earth. So I'm sure to met you will be enriching under any circumstances.
