About Me

Hi there! I’m Leandro, a passionate and curious traveler always seeking to grow, learn, and explore new experiences. I’m driven by a desire to constantly improve myself, whether it’s through learning something new, challenging my physical limits, or engaging with people from all walks of life.

I love staying active—whether it’s hiking up mountains, hitting the gym, or playing sports, I’m always looking for the next adventure. Music is a big part of my life, and it’s the perfect soundtrack for both exploring the outdoors and connecting with new people.

I believe the best way to learn is by meeting new people and sharing experiences. That’s why I’m excited to both travel and host, offering my home to fellow travelers who, like me, want to broaden their horizons. Let’s exchange stories, ideas, and maybe even a workout or two!

Looking forward to meeting you and making great memories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I’m passionate about connecting with people from all over the world. I see it as an incredible opportunity to have meaningful conversations, learn about different cultures, and understand how people live in their countries. There’s something special about hearing personal stories and seeing the world through someone else’s eyes.

At the same time, I love sharing my own culture and experiences. Whether it’s talking about life in Colombia or sharing some local traditions, I believe that cultural exchange is one of the most enriching things we can experience. I’m excited to create those connections and learn together!

Interests

I’m currently studying software engineering, which is something I’m really passionate about. Aside from that, I have a wide range of interests that keep me busy! I enjoy reading about economics, as well as fiction and science books to expand my knowledge and imagination. I’m also into learning languages, as it allows me to connect with people from all over the world.

When I’m not studying or reading, you’ll find me doing something active. I love playing football, hitting the gym, and getting involved in all kinds of sports. I’m also a fan of video games, watching videos, and, of course, listening to music—it’s a big part of my daily life.

In short, I’m just a 20-year-old guy from Colombia who enjoys balancing studies, fitness, and fun, and always looks for new ways to grow and enjoy life!

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music, I’m all about variety! I love Latin music—there’s something about the rhythm and energy that just gets you moving. I’m also really into electronic and techno music; the beats and atmosphere are perfect for when I’m working out or just need to get into a focused groove.

As for books, I like to keep things balanced. I enjoy diving into economics books to understand the world better, but I’m also a big fan of fiction to escape into different worlds and perspectives. On top of that, I find inspiration from motivational books, always looking for ways to challenge myself and stay driven in life.

Whether it’s through music or books, I’m always looking for something that sparks excitement and keeps me learning.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve had the amazing opportunity to live in two of the most vibrant cities in the world: Boston and New York City. In Boston, I fell in love with the rich history, incredible universities, and beautiful outdoor spaces like the Charles River and the Boston Common. It’s the perfect city for anyone who enjoys walking tours, museums, and a great mix of nature and urban life. Meanwhile, in New York City, I got to experience the electric energy of the city that never sleeps. From iconic spots like Central Park and Times Square to hidden gems in its diverse neighborhoods, NYC is a world of its own where there’s always something new to discover—from street performances to rooftop views.

Beyond my love for these cities, I’m always up for outdoor adventures like hiking mountains, staying fit at the gym, and playing sports. Music is my companion on all of these journeys, and I’d love to exchange playlists or just talk about our favorite tunes.

I’m excited to both host and travel, meeting people who share my passion for exploration and personal growth. Let’s create unforgettable memories together!

Teach, Learn, Share

I’ve had the chance to live in different places throughout my life, and that has given me the opportunity to learn and share a lot with people from diverse backgrounds. I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, and I’d love to help others improve in either language. I’m also really passionate about software and technology, so I can teach you about coding or anything tech-related.

But it’s not just about teaching—I love learning from others too. I believe every conversation is a chance to gain new perspectives, and I’m always open to discovering new things from the people I meet. Whether it’s through language, culture, or skills, I’m all about making our exchange meaningful and mutual.

What I Can Share with Hosts

When staying with a host, I’m happy to share quite a bit! I can teach English or Spanish, whether you’re looking to improve your conversational skills or learn from scratch. Over the years, I’ve also gained a lot of knowledge through my travels—meeting people from different countries, learning from their experiences, and growing through those exchanges. I’d love to share those stories and insights with you.

Of course, I’m also proud to share my Colombian culture, whether it’s through stories, traditions, or just talking about life back home. I believe in creating a mutual learning experience where we can both teach, learn, and share something valuable with each other.
