About Me

I'm mostly quiet guy, open minded, who likes to travel, meet people, photograph things and have experiences outdoors. I am curious about the world, cultures and nature. I really enjoy being close to nature exploring places and natural beauties, but I also like to explore the small villages and cities in a more urban environment. I like good music, 60´s 70´s 80´s mostly and always have one playing on my mind. Movies, books and arts. I drink socially, never heavy and I´m a person who prefers to listen than to talk. Cycle is my favorite sport follow by hikking and trekking. My great desire and dream is to see the world cycling. Maybe this is not entirely possible but I'm trying. I travelled in the past, hitchhiking around western Europe and after this, a Iot of places in Brazil and Latin America on bicycle, motorcycle and car trips. I never used Couchsurfing before because I don´t have a place to host people and still haven´t, as well, my style of travel is mostly wild camping. I think that my next travel Couchsurfing could be very important and interesting as I want to know more about the places by the local people. I think couch offers this kind of experience. Well, I have a lot of travel stories and tips if you are interested specially in South América. Besides Facebook, I have an instagram.com/zorek account that shows a bit more of my life than these few words.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think Couchsurfing is a great idea for travelers who like me, are looking for a more intimate and real experience by getting in touch with the local people and the exchange of experiences it provides. Of course, it is also a more economical and viable way for me to travel within my travel style that consist´s mostly in camping sites and free wild camping. I´m not embarassed to say that I can´t afford a travel that I have to pay for sleep every night and for sure I always will prefer outdoor camping, not for it´s price but because it´s the style of travel I like. When I leave home to go to Europe or Asia in the future I hope, it will take several months to know what I want. Definitely is a long time travel that will take me to a lot of countries. If you ask to me how I can afford so many time on the road? Well, it´s just my style of travel and way of living, simple as possible. Like a bike travel. Can I hold on this? Yes, It´s hard yet rewarding. So. I promisse and hope not to be sad and boring and I´ll go leave soon to my next destination ever remembering our moments in time.

Music, Movies, and Books

I´m moved by music specially the classicals of the 60´s and 70´s. I like the 80´s and 90´s too. A lot of artists. Always in my mind I have a song, a melodie, and I like to discover new musics that touches my soul. I don´t really like brazilian pop music unless few artists mostly from the past like Raul Seixas and Mutantes. The actual pop music of Brazil is quite bad for my ears sorry. Of course that are some good artists as well in the present time but I always stick to my classics. These days I´ve hearding a lot of ELO, Cat Stevens and George Harrison careers. I love the Beach Boys, the Beatles, the Stones, Bob Marley, Elvis and this list never ends easy. Good music, jazz, blues, latin, classical...so many. Play a record do you love for me sometime.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My past travels around Europe and South America especially Patagonia but the most incredible thing is about to happen soon!

Teach, Learn, Share

I do not know how to do so many things, but I have no problem teaching some of the things I've learned. I like to learn new things and share my knowledge whenever it´s possible. I know to make coffee, scramble eggs, a cake if I have a kitchen, pizzas...what more...pasta...not much revenues. I think I prefer to learn than to teach. But I can teach portuguese, spanish, photography, photoshop, illustrator, in design, ride a bicycle, set up a tent and even bad brazilian language. ;)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share travel experiences through Latin America, and for my country Brazil. I can also share some of the local culture from the south of Brazil and still cook some typical dish like barbecue and some recipes that I learned like pizzas and even a cake. I can also share more technical knowledge of graphic design softwares as well, portuguese language, spanish...photography as I write above.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Peru, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Uruguay, Venezuela, Wales
