Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I like to find couches along the way organically, call me old fashion. The way I tend to travel is to pick a destination, land in the country, no reservations, point at the cardinal direction I need to go and then let life take me there, I like the challenge and the best experiences tend to be in between.. journey not the goal as they say.

I traveled like this from London to Rome, did a cross country of Costa Rica where I met many cool people who graciously hosted me through out the trip, the rest of the time I was in survivor man mode through lush virgin jungle.

I also like to do long trips with my motorcycle, the latest was from NYC to Miami via the Appalachian mountains / Blue Ridge Parkway (look it up, its awesome). I left in late November so you can imagine how cold it was at 3000 feet, with a 40 - 90mph wind.. great times though, ice storm chasing me like a hound the whole time. Camped and surfed while doing that.

Opening up my boat as a way to pass on the good Karma other world hosts have given me on my travels.
