ABOUT ME

I live in one of the most beautiful places of the world, and I am glad to have a place that really feels like home. I love people...meeting new people, finding out what makes them tick and who they think they are is a great puzzle for me! I like learning about other cultures, realizing that people are both very different and very much the same across cultures, and finding out about group and individual histories.

PHILOSOPHY

I want to love God with all my heart, mind, soul and strength and love any person I encounter as I would love myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just experienced couch surfing for the first time as a couch surfer in Europe. It was an amazing experience! We met so many interesting people with interesting stories. They opened up their homes, cooked us meals, gave us suggestions, and took us on personalzed local tours. I would love to host visitors for the chance to meet more people from around the world and share the beauty of my hometown.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have been a couch surfer in Ireland and Switzerland. In Ireland, there were also couch surfers from France staying where we stayed, so it was an excellent multinational experience. We stayed on Lake Brienz in Interlaken and got to test chocolates made by our host. In Zurich, our host took us on a pleasant walk around the city, complete with two swimming stops.

Interests

I am interested in teaching, coaching, and spending time with teenagers. I love being outside and trying active things I'm not good at (examples: frisbee golf, tennis, cross country skiing, swimming, underwater aerobics, kayaking, running, mini golf...) and that I'm OK at (soccer). I like hanging out with friends, eating food and drinking wine. I love to read a good novel, and one of my favorite activities is laughing.
