ABOUT ME

I'm pretty open minded. I have lived in several places. I am fairly active. I am a health nut. I eat mostly vegan. I strive for a balanced life. I lavish my son with love. I am in tune with my body. I welcome a lot of sleep. I am more of a morning person than a night person.:)

PHILOSOPHY

There are mysteries in life I stand in awe of which cause me to think that there may be more to this life than just what we "know".

Life is full of imperfections, and I'm a perfect example of one! ;)

Interests

I like chocolate, teaching, gardening, strength training, coffee, other cultures, giggling with my son, reading with my son, cuddling with my son, walking, running, skating, singing, dancing, yoga, my friends, animals, warm & sunny places, speech & language pathology, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

I recently saw "About a Boy" and loved it! I like independent films and drama. Even though they don't tend to stick in my mind, I greatly appreciate the physical and emotional benefit of comedies.

I enjoy dancing, so anything I can dance to that matches my mood is perfect! :D If you ever get the chance to get some Lana Maree music (lanamaree.com), I predict you'll find yourself at the least humming along and very likely wanting to hear more later.

I enjoy reading non-fiction, historical fiction and some drama. If I see any progressive health related material, I usually have to pry myself away from it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've ridden the entire east to west length of the Amtrak train.

I shared a kiss with an Italian man at the top of a Chinese pagoda. (I know that's 2 things, but I couldn't decide which seems more amazing!)

Teach, Learn, Share

My passion is speech and language pathology, so I could learn about phonology and related subjects for hours. However, I feel very limited in my knowledge on the subject and uneasy to say much.

I enjoy talking about gardening, but I also feel this is a limited subject area for me.

If you want to know something about nutrition, then I could talk for hours, and I feel that I have a pretty good knowledge base in this area.
