First the very usual :D My name's Leandra and i'm a teacher in maths, physics, biology and geography.

After I finished my Master's degree in teaching I moved to Mexico City. Now it's been 3 years and i still like this place which has much more to offer than traffic, smog and bad publicity!

My hometown is Lyss (small town 30km north of Bern Switzerland).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

great! i hosted some of the coolest people i could imagine! And I spent one of my best short trips ever with the greatest Couchsurf hosts i could have wished for! its just an amazing way to travel!

But lately i have been noticing that many "applying" surfers don't seem to appreciate what they are asking for.. It's not just a hotel for free! It's our homes. Please read the introduction on this page.

Music: from Classic to Metal.. from Funk to Latin... from Jazz to Industrial... i just don't like swiss folk music.. ;)

I don't read a lot but i'm a huge audio books fan! I "read" the perfume 3 times, die Blechtrommel twice and i love Simplicissimus (i actually read that one)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well.. swimming with whale sharks, snorkeling with Manta Rays at night, cave diving in a Cenote, climbing Mt. Fuji (JAP) and Rainbow Mountain (PERU) and being my boyfriends fist passenger on a helicopter flight might be some of my highlights...
but in general traveling is THE greatest thing in the world... i have learned so many things by traveling and i hope to continue

Teacher and Student at the same time =)
I am a teacher in arts, maths, music, science and geography..
I played doublebass, guitar and a little piano...
I played underwaterrugby (yes!) and i love diving...
I own a Nikon D7100 (it's not the best.. but i'll buy a better one when i'm rich) so i like photography!

and i LOVE to learn new things!!! quite EVERYTHING!

What I Can Share with Hosts

As a typical Swiss I always bring gifts when I'm a guest at someone's home (it's a thing we do.. we can't help it)
I caaaan cook... Swiss or Mexican food (the real one.. )
I'm a very low-maintenance person. A good companion for eating, drinking, talking, hiking and stealing horses.. :)
