À propos de moi

I am a young lady of 21 years old, and the thing that defines me the best might be that I love life. I'm some kind of romantic, lunatic, naive but cheerful character, and I might be a bit annoying sometimes, but I always try my best !
My friends like me because I am respectful, honest and really joyful, even funny, in my own way (I guess ^^), and because we can have real conversations.
I am always curious and open minded, and I really love sharing (experiences, stories, love, laugh...) with people, I need this kind of frenesy in travel, this warm and fast exchange between people, looking in the eyes and trying to tell everything at the same time, to be able to give the more they have, in a perfect and colorful gift...

For me the most important principles in life are Life itself, Love, Justice and Truth, that's why I'm interested in politics, feminism, veganism, etc... But don't be afraid, I am not a kind of extremist alien, aha ! I believe in the power of imagination and positive thinking, and, no matter how fool that might be, in Humanity.

"Be happy, Black : be happy !"

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I'm on couchsurfing because I love couches. Ok, that sounds stupid !

I'm on couchsurfing because the most simple things are always the best (and so are the cheapest, aren't they ?). I prefer the sun of a new relationship to the dusty light of the youth hostel, I prefer the cooking-sharing experience to the solitary sandwich, and I prefer Adventure to safety !

The first experience I had with Couchsurfing was with a friend, and was kind of fun. We walked all night long in London's (kind of) dark streets and spend hours singing in the cold wind of the suburb's station, waiting for a host who never came, and slept on the floor, kept by an evil cat staring at us in the night... It was a real experience, but how fun it is to recall !

For the rest of it, we always did couchsurfing, even without the website itself, and I always say 'yes' to new friends coming to share my couch in a small studio, it's kind of fun to stay in this small area at... 6 people ! Great moments in perspective, in (almost) few words !

Centres d'intérêt

I'm interested in looots of things. Literature, first, as I kind of dedicate myself to it, studying and practicing. But arts in general interest me, especially photography, cinema and theatre (street theatre and circus in particular), I also love drawing. Of course I am interested in music, and I use to play different instruments, but am now in search of a violin teacher (if you know a good and cheap one ?), and I like paintings and architecture, but don't know enought of it, maybe.

I am studying philosophy, which can be a good proof that I like it, but I'm not very fond of the academic way it is taught, I prefer the animation of a conversation by the camp fire, or with a cup of good tea. I am not a specialist, I just deeply enjoy thinking.

I'm not an athlete, but I love walking, and even I practiced boxing, karate and basketball, which I reaaally liked ! And above all, I love travelling. I just... Feel plain, and me when I travel. AND that implies meeting new funny faces (and even not funny ones, as they become funny after all) with good (vegan) beers !

By the way, I'm fond of food & cooking & eating, so : prepare to eat potatoes.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

My favourite band is Balkan Beat Box, just followed by the Frenchies "La Rue Ketanou", which represents a bit what I listen. I enjoy electronic music, but also bluegrass, blues, some kind of French music (Les Ogres de Barback, Louise Attack, the Canadian Boulay Sisters...), folk music a lot, but I always like to discover new bands, and am a great fan of music festivals, aha !

For movies, I love Miyazaki, but also Jean Marc Vallée, Terrence Malick, Beineix, Wes Anderson, Xavier Dolan... My favourite film stays Into the Wild, even if it might seem cliché... ! By the way, sharing a film is one of the best ways to exchange with someone !

Books are sooo numerous and I love them so much... My favourite one is Wuthering Heights, from Emily Brontë, but I am crazy about Hugo, Tolstoï, Boris Vian, I love The doctor Jivago from Boris Pasternak and, of course, Shakespeare and Ibsen. (And, guilty pleasure, Harry Potter remains forever in my heart !)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

Very recently, I've been to Wales with my boyfriend, and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life.

We only had three days or so, and we wanted to travel and see great things, and we chose Wales because... It seemed great. And it was.

First, we took the bus in London in the evening, and arried at 2 in the morning, so we had to sleep in th street, hidden by two bushes, which was not amazing but stays a funny fact. Then we decided, at 4, to discover the city, and it was really surprising ! We went to the bay, and went back to see the impressive castle and the fantastic park, full of flowers I had never seen, walking all long mouth wide open.

In the afternoon, we took a bus to Pandy, small village in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by the greenest mounts in the world, and took a place in a campsite there, discussing with amazing old people and amazed by the silence all around.

The day after was just great. We walked ten hours long from Pandy to Hay-on-Wye, where we wanted to join the national cultural festival, and that was amazing. We walked through the mountains, followed by thousands of sheeps, horses, cows, in the middle of the clouds...
By the end of the day we reached the very lovely village of Hay-on-Wye, with which I fell in love.

Hay-on-Wye is the place I always searched to live. In the middle of the mountains and the sheeps, with thousands and thousands of books, lovely people and great alternative places to listen to music with a good local beer... It was awesome.

It might seem nothing, but it is one Amazing thing that I've done !

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

I love to learn from people, but sharing is not only a matter of receiving, it's also a matter of giving, and I suppose I also have thing to teach... ! I just don't know what exactly now, and it looks a bit like a CV, which is quite weird ! I can just say that of course, we have things to learn from everybody, and even things we wouldn't have thought about, so... Let's believe in the surprises of Life !

Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes

I can share my good mood and my smile, which is quite important, I think ! I can also share great moments and laugh ! Practically speaking, I am quite good at cooking and as a vegan, it can be interesting to make others discover new tastes, I can also share stories and have a good conversation ! I don't think one could be bored with me... You might not love me, but never be bored, aha !
