About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Getting the most out of this things called life.

ABOUT ME

I was born on Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. Hanging out there till I was 7 when my Mom had a revelation that she'd like to see the sun every few months we packed everything we owned into 4 boxes, took 4 bikes, and set off for an adventure to the Hawaii. We spent one year on Oahu and family decided that it was too busy/expensive so when shipped off to the Big Island and found the paradise I was fortunate enought to grow up in...

I grew up in a multicultural environment at Hookena Elementary school and went on to Konawaena High School to graduate with honors and an emphasis in bodyboarding, spearfishing, hiking and basically anything that involved the ocean. Oh, and my mom, being the vagabond that she is (here's her website: worldglobetrotters.com) she took my sister and myself out of school for 7 month trip around the world! What a mind expanding experience...

After highschool I needed to spread my wings and flew off to Boulder Colorado where I ended up spend the following 10 years going to University of Colorado - Boulder, starting a residential contracting company, and meeting/making SO many cool people.

Toward the end of 2010 I decided my path was taking me elsewhere and liquidated my house, business, etc and went off traveling again for a year ++ in Australia, Indonesia and Thailand.

I landed back in Hawaii and am now reconnecting with my roots, starting a career in Real Estate with Clark Realty Corp and doing Manta Ray night dives to connect with the ocean on constant basis.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is adventure that is dynamic and multidimensional. Everyone has a unique journey here, go experience yours. I am giving mine a go. Drink a few microbrews along the way and a few vices keep people interesting.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I do miss aspects of traveling and one of those is connecting with travelers from around the world. I feel now I can give back a little, and my host space IS LITTLE, but traveling taught me its not what you have, but what you give that counts :))) So contact me for my Lanai (cover porch w/ futon) to sleep on, are interested in how to make the most out of your time in Hawaii or what to join me in an adventure in my Jeep!
