ABOUT ME

Me! WOW where do I start? Im really, really cool and very modest. Haha.
But seriously Im a very easy going guy who loves travelling. If I could I think I would just continuiously travel but who of us wouldn't?
At the moment I have finished my University degree (communications) and have been working to save enough money to travel. The time has almost come to leave home (9th Aug 2010) and I should be gone for almost a year if all goes well.
Im so excited and I cant wait to meet new people and get out there :D
I have also been told that I am funny... I dont get it.

PHILOSOPHY

I always come back to the idea that "You always come to regret the things you didn't do/try" so why not just try? like Nike haha "Just do it."

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Well I just found out about this community and Im about to start travelling so I have only donated. I hope some nice pople take me in at a few places ;) and when I get back home in a year or so Im setting up a designated Couch for the good travellers of the world.

I studied film at Uni so its a huge interest. I love older cinema like Casablanca but the modern cinema does have its gems.

Literature as a whole, I love a perfectly sentence and an epic novel. A smart screenplay or a concise poem. the written word I guess you could say. Except spelling... because it baffels me on a regular basis hehe.

Music is also a major influence in my life but i think it is for most people.

Photography is another passion. I did a few unit at uni but I have only started playing around with it more recently.

Thats the four big ones but there are a heap of others (Motocross, snowboarding, basketball, green tea, history, WWII)

If i start on movies I won't stop. But I have to name a few (Schindlers list, Sin City, Casablanca, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang)

I love fiction novels ( In the skin of a lion, Ice Station, Shindler's Ark) but recently I have been reading alot of non fiction involved with history (mostly WWII & Feudal japan)

When it comes to music I have listened to hip hop since I was 11. I love it. True hip hop not the ring tone stuff. Mos Def, Slick Rick, Dre, K-os, Tribe called quest and so on.

Im into alot of other music such as Jamie T, Passion Pit, nirvana, Frightened rabbit to name a few.

Nara Japan-
Its such an amazing place with a huge and long history behind it. What got me was the vast contrast from the cutting edge modern world of japan (such as tokyo) and the ancient world still standing next to it.

Ive been working in a motorcycle shop for quite some time so Im handy with mechanics and motorcycle related subjects.
