About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I AM TAKING A BREAK FROM COUCHSURFING RIGHT NOW, NOT ACCEPTING GUESTS AT THE MOMENT! EXCEPTIONS ARE PEOPLE WHO SURFED MY COUCH BEFORE!

Sharing the paradise I'm living in with other people!

ABOUT ME

I live in a huge house, it is very old and history is to be found in every corner. My grand-parents lived here with their huge family as farmers.
I live here since spring 2015, half of the time, my three kids are with me, half of the time, they are with their mother.

I would love to share my little paradise with other people. The house is huge and lovely.
One thing to note about the house is that it is very old. During the winter, I need to make a fire to heat the house, but that fire will heat the whole house.
The bathroom is not just old, it is "shabby". Everything you need is there, shower, toilet and all, but it definitely doesn't meet the Swiss standard. There is also some mould on the wall, but I don't care and I hope you don't either. Just in case, there is another toilet in the house (but it is cold in the winter), but no other shower. Actually, it's not that bad, but you shouldn't be surprised.

I really like to have travelers in the house to bring the world into my home. Now that I have children, travelling is not so easy anymore and the possibilities are a bit limited. So hosting couchsurfers is a great way to experience the world.

I'm definitely on the easy-going end of the spectrum. It’s important for me that you feel free, just as you would at home. I just ask you to act very friendly and with your best manners and behaviour in the presence of the kids. If you like to and if I have the time, I could spend some time with you. Families are also very welcome, just like everybody else.

As I am a very busy person, I appreciate your help a lot, even if it is just a little bit. No obligation, and I won't ask you for help. If you fee like, you could offer your help, I you see something that should be done, ask me about it. I'm not too proud to neglect your help, but don't ask you for it, because you should enjoy your stay!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couchsurfing is just great! A real win-win-situation!

Interests

Shamanism, self-development, guitar, farming (organic), the music of the Grateful Dead, jamming, education (Montessori), kayaking (I was a whitewater-kayaker when I was younger), enjoying nature, a lot more

I also have a huge task in owning this farm. It's very lovely, but it also means a lot of work. Thousands of things have to be done.

The most important part are my children. I try to be a great father when they are with me, and on other days I have a lot to do.

Music, Movies, and Books

Grateful Dead, Jerry Garcia Band, New Riders of the Purple Sage, John Cipollina, Phish, …
I love music! Right now, I have no time to read and to watch movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was 17, I entered my first competition in freestyle kayaking. It was the Swiss championships and I got 2nd, just because I learned a new trick the day before.

Teach, Learn, Share

People learn from each other in every situation!

If you are interested in something you see in my profile, it's also something I can tell you a few or more things about. I am very passionate about my interests and used to absord information like a sponge. I am happy to share the information with you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

The beautiful nature around us, a real original Swiss farmhouse and much more...

If you need something like a washing machine, a shower, anything, just ask. I love to share!
