Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently on a sabbatical period travelling some parts of our world. Rather than heading from one touristy spot to another I search for encounters with the people inhabiting this world to get in contact with them, to exchange and share experiences, to try to understand their motivations and ways of life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I really like the combination of getting to know new people, exchanging experiences and meanwhile feeling less like a tourist but discovering the place in a more authentic kind of way. Sharing and getting to know each other is the only way of trying to make this world a bit better.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

being on bord of a vessel in the middle of the Mediterranean sea in the middle of the night, without any land ahoy, gazing at the stars and the Milky Way and being shown some constellations, feeling myself and our earth with all its inhabitants incredibly small and vulnerable as well as incredibly awesome and precious at the same time
