ABOUT ME
Hi I'm Toby and I'm an Outdoor Instr from the UK. Really all this means is I enjoy climbing, teaching children and getting outside. My travels usually revolves around these things. British born and bred, I would like to think I represent the more favourable characteristics of my country - proper manners, a hearty proclivity to the underdog, and a love for tea.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The first time I Couchsurfed was with a fellow Brit who just so happened to be living in Hamilton, New Zealand just about the time I was around the area and in need of accommodation, friendship and excitement. These things were very definitely satisfied when within an hour of my arrival I was on a road trip across the North Island to fish at Raglan for the night. Needless to say such an opportunity makes for great stories and at that point I knew Couchsurfing was what travelling was really about.
Interests
Climbing. Canoeing. White Water Rafting. Hiking. Biking. Pootling. Meeting people. Meeting their friends. Fresh air. Campfires. Seeing both sunrise and sunset in a day. Going to an empty bar and having the best night ever. Air hockey. Beer (but real beer). Tea. Crosswords. Board games on a rainy afternoon. Taking the long way home just because.
