About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I want to meet and learn about people and cultures all over the world !!

ABOUT ME

Well, my name is Leda
I'm a student in St. Louis, MO in French Masters Program. I receive my BA at SLU as well and I spent a year in Lyon, France studying the language and Cultural Anthropology. It was there that I started taking couch surfing seriously and I plan to continue my participation here in the states, it is really a great way to meet new people and learn about different cultures!

PHILOSOPHY

Keep an open mind and an open heart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At this point in my life, I am doing very limited traveling as I am a full time student in St. Louis MO. Therefore, I am totally interested in meeting anyone coming through these parts. I've got a small apartment in the city that is open to anyone who enjoys cozy, otherwise I am totally down for meeting up with anyone, showing them around, and maybe going out for lunch or something. I'm pretty much open for anything!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couch surfing experience is few. I have had just as many bad experiences as good ones but all are experiences nonetheless ::

1. Venice, Italy -- fail.
2. Zurich, Switzerland -- fail.
3. Breda, Netherlands -- SUCCESS !! A friend and I stayed with a great guy, Richard during the festival and he showed us a great time around town and fixed us some great meals. Great first CSing experience.
4. Amsterdam, Netherlands -- fail.
5. Brussels, Belgium -- this worked out nicely. We met up with a nice guy who showed us around just for the day. He wasn't able to host us but took us out and showed us some cool sights.

I've met a few couchsurfers in Chicago IL traveling south from Canada who stayed with a friend of mine. Very cool and inspiring people. I'm definitely looking to participating more here in the States.
