ABOUT ME

We are a hybrid spanish (RAI)-argentinian (LEDA)couple who spent the first years of our relationship spotting the subtle differences between our cultures and who have settled somewhere in between the two. We have moved on since those early days, to discovering other cultures (something we truly love!!) and are now on a 1 year gap trip, mostly overland, on a Land Rover. We have made it all the way to India and are now heading our way home through Africa. Before the trip, Rai was a sports teacher, finishing a degree in Psychology and Leda was a molecular biologist.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Our way of participating, given that our house in the time being, is our own car (with little extra space for a couch) is by opening ourselves to whoever might be interested in us. Needless is to say, we will happily offer a couch once we are back home.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We are couchsurfing-first-timers, although we have had amazing experiences staying in the homes of all sorts of nice people along our journey and we have opened our home to friends of friends many times in the past.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rai:
-Having to go to the toilet in the middle of a marathon in the Sahara.
-Making it out of Nias wave with a broken board and shaky legs.

Leda:
-Crossing the pakistani desert at 50 degrees C, with a thick scarf covering my head and neck and not fainting in the process
-Having explored the most awkward toilets all over for not being able to wait until she found a proper one.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you how to make the best house out of a 1,5m x 2m car...and the little else we know (spanish?). We can learn anything you know and are willing to teach us.

We love cooking! So, we can share a nice meal.
