About Me

I've been an English teacher in Kosovo since last fall, when the school semester is off I make my way home the long way around. It's an interesting experience coming from middle of nowhere Iowa- if you've never been, just imagine corn for as far as the eye can see, probably why I'm so excited to be anywhere else- but the Balkans have been extraordinarily welcoming. I am a bit on the shy side so if I seem cold when you meet me just talk, I warm up quickly!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've been doing lots of traveling when not teaching but so much of the time has been on my own. I see places by myself, barely meet any locals, drift out without making a mark. I want to have a proper exchange! I know lots of people on here say they like meeting people, but I'm shy and trying to change that bit by bit
