ABOUT ME

Hey everyone!

I'm a grad student at NYU in New York City (going for my masters of Social Work!). For my undergrad thesis, I wrote about recovery culture, women, and blogs! Besides being a blogger myself, I love to dance, make art, cook breakfast, and ride public transportation. I'm also a vegetarian.

Obviously, because I'm on the site, I love to travel and help others do the same! My sister and I went on a 6-week backpacking trip two summers ago through Europe and had the best time, ever.

Right now I am a student of Social Work, but I have other interests too. I am obsessed with urban farming and locally grown food; so I love going to work on the neighborhood farms. I am also a part time artist, so I love that job too! I volunteer a lot as well!

In my spare time I like to read and write prose (and sometimes go to slams or spoken word readings), meditate, try out new recipes, collect kitschy things, used stuff, and rusty antiques, watch synchronized swimming, draw (my favorite things to sketch and paint are the human figure and organic matter like plants, flowers, leaves, trees...) and TRAVEL!!!

PHILOSOPHY

First, and with everything - feminism...and secondly, around the phrase "if not now, when?" If applied that to every situation in life...think about how much would be accomplished :)

Currently I am open to showing people around the lovely cities of Brooklyn and NYC. When I lived alone I was more than happy to host, but I have roommates now so I do not want to impede on their personal space. I am available for any volunteer work regarding CS and would love to show people around my lovely city if the timing works out right!
