I am 27 and came over to Australia last year on a work and holiday visa. My passion is for environmental policy and conservation. Most of the time you can catch me on my bike, at a park or enjoying a nice hike! I lived in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado for the past four years and absolutely loved it, but its time for a change of scenery so that’s why I went to Australia and now I’m in New Zealand!

I am traveling in Australia with a work and holiday visa! Trying to find a temporary job in the service industry until I can land a steady job in the field of environmental policy and renewable energy. Started in Sydney for a few weeks, made my way down to Melbourne and now on to Adelaide and Perth! Loving how beautiful this country is already

Music, Movies, and Books

Huge fan of parks and recreation and the office! HBO shows are Game of Thrones and Chernobyl.

Movies--too many to list! Definitely LOTR and Harry Potter of course :) but also anything Quinten Tarantino or Paul Thomas Anderson directs.

Some books that I'm reading right now are Hunger by Roxane Gay, and Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind by Yuval Noah Harari. My favorite book is probably Collapse by Jared Diamond.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Backpacked 35 miles in 3 days to do the cirque of the towers loop through the Wind River Indian reservation in Wyoming.

Teach, Learn, Share

I used to teach people how to swim as an instructor for 4 years at the YMCA, I also love teaching kids and adults how to improve their volleyball skills.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am a pretty good cook, I love to be helpful by doing housework and chores to make it easier on hosts.
