ABOUT ME
My name is Danielle, and I'm a GIS specialist by day and a hula hoop instructor by night. I live in Madison, WI on the near east side and smile all the time.

I strive to learn as much as possible. To live life creatively, responsibly, and sustainably. To love and to care and to get involved and to breathe every moment of it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to spread the word of couch surfing, and offer my couch to anyone who would like to enjoy Madison, WI.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couch surfers are a spice of life! I had a great experience in Chicago when I was in town for some hooping workshops. One of the best by far was when I was in College Station, TX, and my host took me out to the local bar to learn how to Texas Two-Step and drink Shiner Beer. What great people you meet when you couch surf! Plus I think it's a really great way to meet the heart of what makes up a city or a town.
We have also hosted a lot of really nice people here in Madison :-)
Interests
I enjoy travel, cooking, hiking, live music, yoga, reading a good book, and of course anything hula hoop related. I am curious to meet your acquaintance.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I lived in Alaska, a bear tore down the tent next to me (and the girl who lived in it was sleeping in her truck that night, fortunately). I woke up, wondering what the ruckus was, only to poke my head out of the tent to see a grizzly bear 20 feet away. I slid back into the tent, and mouthed the words, "big brown bear" to my boyfriend Robin, and we both shook in silence until we didn't hear anything anymore.
