Overview
About Me
I'm a British-born, American raised graduate student (master's of social work), living in Arkansas after a stint in Spain and gearing up to move to Chicago.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I originally got into CS back in 2013 as a host in Little Rock, AR, and surfed a bit in Europe before another stretch hosting in Spain. I haven't had a ton of surfing experiences, but all the ones I've had have been great, and hosting has always been a delight - I'm still in touch with plenty of former surfers!
Interests
I'm a halfway decent bassist, and I've got a classical guitar and a harmonica around the house if you're keen on any of those things! I also play a bit of sax.
I love stand-up comedy, plays and musicals, and walking through unusual places. I prefer interesting quiet spots rather than major tourist hubs. I'm a mediocre cook, but I like to watch other, more talented people cook and ask questions; I quite enjoy board games. I enjoy good museums and I also like to go to new libraries and not check anything out.
I enjoy going out and having a good beer, but I don't normally drink much.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did a lot of work with people with disability while working for a nonprofit in the States and it was generally pretty incredible. The level of variety and adventure that I experienced in that job was nuts; ask me about it, I've got plenty of stories to share there!
Teach, Learn, Share
I still teach English as a foreign language, so I can help with that. I know a bit about internetworking and the composition of the Internet if for some reason that's your bag. I'm also decently musical, and love to share it.
