About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to be present wherever I am

ABOUT ME

I'm someone who is not quite prepared to fall into the groove that I see so many people in. I'd like to travel for a while and see what other options for life are out there... I like to be different, despite my sameness

PHILOSOPHY

Treat others the way you wish to be treated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been grateful to all the people that invited me to stay in their homes during one of my longest travels- 7 months on a bicycle from Washington State to Guatemala. I feel I owe other travelers the enjoyment and experience of staying with someone from the area one is visiting -it's such a great way to really experience a place.

Interests

Plants, mushrooms, Permaculture, camping, forests, trees, food, cooking, photography, yoga, being outside, the weather, simplicity, details, long distance bicycling, learning how intricate things work, people from other places, building and creating things....

Music, Movies, and Books

Books: Mushrooms Demystified, The Lost Language of Plants, The power of now, good relevant novels, Harpers magazine, ... I really should read more than I do.
Most types of music are enjoyable, I like quality hip-hip, good old rock-n-roll, some "electronic" music, music from other parts of the world than the u.s. and some newer more mainstream stuff too.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving, which I never thought I'd actually get around to doing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you all about mushrooms and a lot about plants and trees. I could share some recipes, show you some things about fixing a bicycle, discuss Permaculture, and have a conversation about almost anything.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, Cuba, France, Guatemala, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, United States, Vatican City State

Countries I’ve Lived In

Norway, United States
