Salutations : ) I'm currently traveling in Europe after a year of travel through India and Nepal where I was studying yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda... an incredible journey I am still processing. I left my IT career behind almost 2 years ago after recognizing the lack of passion and fulfillment I felt for it. The desire to help others more directly and begin utilizing my creative and hands-on skills became too strong to ignore... giving back can come in so many ways, shapes and forms. I look for different ways to give back and pay it forward. I try to practice living a life now a day where I allow my heart to lead me, instead of my monkey mind that I work to calm.

I'm open-minded, open-hearted, easy to get along with, fun, peaceful, and adventurous. I LOVE cooking for others and appreciating a great meal. My food, music, fashion, dance styles could be considered "worldly" I guess. I'm a mixed kid - half Indian, half German/Irish. I have a regular yoga and meditation practice that I value and love to do with others as well. Getting into surfing lately and can't wait to practice more! I enjoy spending time alone and also in the company of positive people.

I love the outdoors and appreciate a day in nature over the city almost anytime. I enjoy gardening and playing in the dirt : ) I enjoy random days of painting and arts & crafts. Love capturing people, places, and moments on my camera.

Dream: something with food... perhaps a restaurant, or bed & breakfast, a food truck, or even catering... something where I can put all my love into and share with others in a way that they feel nourished, satisfied, and inspired to make different and healthy food choices. I would like to incorporate the knowledge and experiences I've had with Ayurveda so that I can help people understand how diet and lifestyle truly impacts your well-being and the balance of your mind, body, and spirit.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm new to couchsurfing... but I decided to join because I started to hear about it in my travels to India and it sounded like the exact type of "living" or stays I would want to experience and share. What better way to learn about a place and its people than from a person from the place : ) I also enjoy meeting new people, sharing and learning from them and simply being a part of the community way of living that I'm inspired by and appreciate.

When I return back to the States later this year, I plan to open up my home to allow others to visit a beautiful sanctuary in Maryland. It is a place for nature, peace, rejuvenation and enjoyment. A breath of fresh air for people who need a moment to breathe in the craziness that life can sometimes be.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
