About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Originally from London, UK; now living in Sydney. Having spent some time exploring the world, I'm keen to meet as many new people as possible, in order to enjoy new life/cultural experiences, while also hopefully learning lots & giving something back at t

ABOUT ME

I'm 30 years old, from London (UK) - and in 2010 I packed in my job, gave up my flat, sold my car and most of my belongings, and set off traveling around the world...

My first port of call was North America, for the summer (with a brief visit to Mexico and Brazil, in the middle); after which I went to Fiji, before spending two months exploring New Zealand, and then, I settled in Sydney, Australia - where I'm now living and having an awesome time!

So... I love going out and socializing with friends, whether that be having a meal in a nice restaurant; drinks in a cool bar; going to the theatre; or just chilling out in the local pub garden or on the sofa with a movie or a book, and a decent bottle of wine...

I'm a fan of skydiving - it really IS the most amazing thing you can possibly experience! - and so I spent much of 2009, trying to jump out of planes whenever I could..!

I love going skiing and scuba diving, and generally visiting new places and doing new things. Some of the most amazing things I've been lucky enough to experience so far, have been:
Driving a husky sled across a frozen lake in northernmost Norway, at -20 degrees...
Going paraskiing in the French Alps (basically skiing off the edge of a mountain with a parachute on)...
Going on safari in South Africa - just being amongst so much untamed nature was an incredibly powerful, and humbling, experience...
Swimming with dolphins in Cuba...
Visiting the once-buried city of Pompeii - incredible!
Getting my skydiving licence in South Africa in April 2009, and doing my first ever solo jump - WOW!
And giving up my life in England, to travel the world..........

I also ADORE music: Whether clubbing to house or techno, or going to gigs, concerts and festivals - it's all good! I've got an extremely eclectic musical taste, having in the last few years been to see all sorts of different bands/artists, including Metallica, The Pet Shop Boys, The Prodigy, Pendulum, Stevie Wonder, Linkin Park, Basement Jaxx, Jools Holland, Depeche Mode, Rammstein, Orbital, Massive Attack, Thievery Corporation, Motley Crue, Madness, Octave One and Lionel Richie (don't judge me!)

So that's me - but if you find yourself at a loose end in Sydney at any stage, and you'd like to get together for a glass of wine and a chat about life, the universe, etc, hit me up..!

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a firm believer in the adage that "Life Is For Living" and that far too few of us REALLY make the most of all the opportunities we have, preferring instead to live our lives over a 'safety net'... So, I'm absolutely determined to make the most of this life, hence my decision in 2010 to leave my home country, and spend the next few years exploring as much of the rest of the world as possible, and trying to see what life/cultural experiences I can possibly have there - while also hopefully learning lots, and giving something back, at the same time...

I don't know; maybe it's a pipe dream - all I do know is that there's a whole universe of possibilities out there to experience, and we're only seeing a tiny part of it... So surely that's a good enough reason to want more??

Teach, Learn, Share

Let me tell you why you're here:
You're here because you know something;
What you know you can't explain, but you feel it:
You've felt it your entire life:
That there's something wrong with the world...
You don't know what it is, but it's there:
Like a splinter in your mind,
Driving you mad...
It is this feeling that has brought you to me.

It is all around us, even now in this very room.
You can see it when you look out your window, or when you turn on the television;
You can feel it when you go to work, when you go to church, when you pay your taxes:
It is the world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth: That you are a slave...
Like everyone else, you were born into bondage;
Born into a prison that you cannot smell, or taste, or touch:
A prison for your mind..!

So I invite you to consider that The Secret of the Universe is that it operates on the basis of laws of attraction - what you actively and positively put 'out there', the Universe will help you to manifest, as reality...

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others..!
