About Me

CURRENT MISSION

i want to explore... the universe!!!!

ABOUT ME

I studied Fine Art and am working with various art projects and am a tour guide to pay my bills. I live with my Swedish husband who serenades me with techno on a regular basis. We have a little boy born on Halloween called Otis and he is a huge source of comedy, wonder, and patience testing! I love history and culture and language. I want a dog but my flat isn't big enough and I still have itchy feet. I am vegetarian and try my hardest to reduce my milk-product consumption and not to buy new clothes because I don't want to contribute to mass produced food or fashion. I don't believe in a God and am content to know that my body is going to be worm food.

I don't understand money or maths. I hate racism, homophobia, people who aren't open to other opinions, or too stubborn to change their minds. I would rather people ask stupid questions then don't ask questions at all. I really believe that curiosity and an open-mind are two of the most important qualities a person can have.

There isn't one right way to live, and I am never going to be able to experience everything, so I love meeting people from all over the place with their views, dreams, experiences... etc, and indulging in the diversity of us.

PHILOSOPHY

WABISABI; (which I have tattooed on my finger) - nothing is perfect, nothing is ever finished, and nothing lasts forever.

Not being all fart and no poo; when I plan on doing something I try to make myself do it, so my life doesn't end up being one big dream.

and Mum's moto; 'the more you do, the more you do'

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Happy to give advice and tips, or just be part of the network. Try to organise things and do my bit of creativity to spread fun!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Language exchanges, card games, ridiculously long cycle ride against very stong winds, dinner parties, adventures to different places, eating and drinking and the party.

Interests

I love... art - my main interest I guess, love dancing and listening to good music (obviously), reading about interesting people, history and a well told story, cooking and eating real food, seeing new places and learning about people/places while I'm there, graffiti, anime, swimming in the sea, going to the cinema by myself and tea.

Teach, Learn, Share

'just do stuff'. my friends moto that he carries with him everywhere and it stops me from opting out of a suggested activity or venture for the sake of staying in my comfort zone. i've done so many random, fun and interesting things from it and met loads people as a result.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Tips about Berlin. As a tour guide of the city, and being slightly obsessed by the history and what's going on, I can definitely point you in the right direction. I am generally pretty busy with work (you can join my tours), and art stuff, I might not be free to show you around, but will help you with where to go and what to do, and we can hang out when possible.
