Travel became my passion, sometimes even obsession, when I moved from my small hometown in Germany to New Zealand in 2011. There, I got to witness how beautiful this earth is and I've been wanting to explore every part of it ever since. Since then, I lived in Australia for almost 5 years, returned to Germany for 3 years and recently moved to Taipei. I am looking forward to exploring Taipei and Taiwan overall in the coming months.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Through my travels, I have met people from so many different places and their friendship and stories have had a great impact on my personality and life. I always get blown away by their kindness, friendliness, and individuality and I love learning about different cultures and listen to their points of view to broaden my horizon.

Couch Surfing is a great way to welcome new people into my little world so that we all get to learn more about this big world that we live in. I believe that travel becomes so much more meaningful when you get to meet locals; you won't just see the typical tourist spots but rather experience the local culture and way of life.

Interests

My absolute favourite part when I travel are those wow-moments when you drive or walk up to an incredible piece of nature that just takes your breath away; all I can do at that moment is let out a big squeak and soak in the feeling of total freedom. I enjoy being active and trying out new things. I love dancing and have been part of various dance groups, mainly hip hop orientated.

Music, Movies, and Books

When it comes to music I tend to listen to the beat a little more than the lyrics. I am not fussed about a particular genre as long as it makes me want to move. I absolutely love reading, when I start a really good book it is safe to say that I won't put it down until I have read the last page :) I enjoy the Jack Reacher series by Lee Child and another favourite will always be the Harry Potter series. The odd chick lit also finds its way on to my bookshelf. Currently, I am also focusing on more non-fiction reading material to improve my personal development game.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have had so many fun and crazy experiences on my travels, however, my adventures as a solo traveller are the most amazing for sure!

I am happy to teach you some German, and not just the swear words.....I could also show you how to ride a unicycle if you can find one!!!

I am vegetarian/pescetarian and I always love to learn and share new recipes from all around the world...
