About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to be a "yes" girl and experience as much as I can on my travels

ABOUT ME

Before I left australia, I played water polo and netball, was quite artistic, I LOVE music (and still do) But I found I was always wanting to DO more.... fishing, drives down the coast, swimming, meet new people and have extraordinary experiences, but never did I get the chance, I was always waiting on friends to come with me.

Since being on the road, I have become free-er. I am the master of my own adventures.
I told my family and friends before I left aus, that I would be away for a year, could be more, could be less. I have now been away for 16 months!! I have been through western europe, uk, ireland and egypt... lived in belfast for two months and london for six months and am now staying with my boyfriends family in Johanessburg for a while.

Future plans include, learning to play the guitar, cycling around south east asia and also doing a big trip around south america and canada. When I return to Australia at the end of this year, I will complete my gym instructing and personal training courses and try and master a triathlon!

PHILOSOPHY

"Life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself."
So i want to try meet, see, do as much as I can. Ill even try to look through the bad bits.... my mum used to tell me when litte and I had to do something hard or bad.... "alicia its character building!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am young. I suppose as daggy as it sounds, im trying to understand how everything works. By participating in couchsurfing, it would enable me to listen to other peoples stories, have a 'big brother big sister' experience in this new wierd place called "AFRICA."

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Couch surfing has made my trip. Its been the highlights. It has so much more charisma, and is so much more soulfull that staying in a hostel. I really enjoy meeting different people and seeing how they live.

Interests

Love sport!!! I have always been around it. I have played netball and waterpolo, and i swam pretty keenly once apon a time aswell.
I like to think my self as artistic, or perhaps more than then average joe... however inspiration needs to be present.
I will be the first to say I am a little bit dreamy and whimpsical. Definately emotional. gulp. - look out world!

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE CHICK FLICKS!!!
I like to read... currently reading "a fortune teller told me...." about religous ways in south east asia.

I love any music except techno..... and I ADORE live music!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Saving up my money... going away from home... for a long time. That first step out, away from convention.

I also think its pretty ace that i will have an aussie accent... WITHOUT even trying. haha. all those years as a child I put on the english accent, asian accent and more, IM going to have one and i think that is AWESOME!

Teach, Learn, Share

Main thing is I want to listen to what people have to say about their lives and travells. I want to listen to peoples thoughts and experiences and i want to learn.
I think i can share my dreamy thoughts and playfulness in a somewhat entertaining manner also I have many stories to tell about my 16 months on the road.

Saying all this, I do not need to be looked after, I cannot stress this enough.
