Hi, I'm Leena. I am pursuing my second Masters degree from Simon Fraser University, in their Vancouver campus. I just finished a 3-month internship at a book publishing firm in Toronto that was part of my professional placement. And I am now returning to Vancouver.

I was born and raised in Mumbai, India. A chunk of my work experience is in media. I've worked on reality TV shows, some 4-5 Bollywood feature films and 2 documentary films. A few years back, I made the transition to print journalism and realized my dream of travelling and writing at the same time. To be honest though, I haven't travelled a lot. I've only been to the US, Canada, UAE and Malaysia. The most exciting thing that I've probably done as a traveller is volunteer on an organic farm in 2010 in Prince Edward Island, Canada. I have worked on magazines for nearly 5 years and I am now starting what I hope is a long career in the book publishing industry.

I would love to travel more. I am bit of an anglophile and really want to see England. I also want to visit Ireland, New Zealand, Japan and Italy.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am in between houses and cities and unfortunately do not have a couch to offer. I'd love to show people around my adopted city, Vancouver, though.
