Wow, it's been a minute. And you have to pay for this webplace now? Anyway!

My name's Dan Lefkow. I'm fully vaccinated and had COVID in January 2022 (yay Omicron).
I've been an American third culture kid my whole life, and I just got a German passport.
Planning on exploring the Schengen zone in April-October 2022 and figuring out if there's anywhere I'd want to resettle- checking out schools, production work (arena rigging) and cities with a good anarchist/sustainability scene in particular.

I've been based in the US since 2003. In 2008 or so I used Couchsurfing to hop around Europe on a long, solo bicycling trip and it was honestly fantastic. Met some amazing people, saw the coolest parts of town, and had lots of experiences I never would have otherwise. Returning to DC I threw any space I was in (roommates and space permitting) open to travelers and met some superb humans doing fantastic things.

Gotta get my languages back up- not a lot of opportunity to speak French and German in the USA and so those parts of my brain have atrophied. BOOKS. Especially Sci-fi. Old things. Well-made tools. Surviving the anthropocene as a civilized species.
