CURRENT MISSION

I want to see, smell, taste, feel and experience everything this beautiful world has to offer, or at least as much as humanly possible, before I decide on one place, one job and one person to spend my life with. I want to broaden before I narrow it down.

ABOUT ME

Before traveling, I was doing licensing and A&R in the music business for 2 years. I thought this would suit me perfectly, but doing office work became a bore and I soon decided that traveling the world was much more my cup of tea. I currently have no idea what I want to do with my life, aside from see as much of the world as humanly possible. I've experienced a lot in my 24 years, but not nearly enough! I love to laugh and be surrounded by people and can get along with just about anyone, but I am equally as happy by myself, deep in thought, or wandering the streets of my favorite city. I live to have a good time, but also value close relationships and intimate conversations. I love love LOVE music and love to dance. Oh, and the way to my heart is through my stomach; there's nothing in this world that compares to really amazing food! I think I'm pretty damn funny too ;)

PHILOSOPHY

I want to experience everything before I die. Well, everything positive, that is. I guess negative experiences can turn into positive ones as well. But yeah, you get the idea. Sometimes, the possibility that I might not get to experience all that life has to offer gives me intense anxiety. So I keep on moving and pursuing new, crazy and random avenues of life.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I truly don't know how I could have backpacked through Europe on my own without Couchsurfing. It has been unreal. I love this website! I can't wait to host some of the people I've met on my travels once I have a permanent residence again.

This list could go on forever. My favorite artists are the Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, PJ Harvey, Bjork, The Dresden Dolls, MGMT, Hot Chip, Ladytron, M.I.A., Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Cat Power, Metric, Rilo Kiley, Great Northern, The Arcade Fire, Blonde Redhead, A Perfect Circle and Tegan & Sara. Some of my favorite films are American Beauty, The Dark Knight, Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Office Space, The Breakfast Club and Almost Famous. Books? I'm currently reading Jack Kerouac's On the Road (call me cliche if you will, but I find it appropriate). Also love The Alchemist, The Catcher in the Rye, Bruiser, The Lovely Bones, A Heartbreaking Work of Staggering Genius, White Oleander, Invisible Monsters and The Bell Jar.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I finished the Florence marathon in November 2007 after training for 6 months and fundraising over $US 4,200 for AIDS Project Los Angeles... That's right, I completed all 26.2 miles (42.1 kilometers)! It was the most painful and beautiful experience of my life, and I think everyone should try at least once. No, really! I'm 100% serious.
