About Me

I'm a 24 year old recent graduate living in the greater NYC area and working in the tech industry but on the business analytics side. My background is in neuroscience and medicine, and I stay in touch with this side of myself through volunteering at hospices and the local hospital. I am EMT-Basic certified and am hoping to volunteer with a local Emergency Medical Services group soon. Still trying to figure out my life, but am considering an MD/MBA program in the future. I am INTJ, an aerialist (pole, aerial silks, aerial hoops), a foodie, an appreciator of puns, and always open to trying new things, experiences, and adventures. I love video games, pole dance, learning languages, traveling, writing, drawing, listening to and sharing life stories.

My love of meeting people came after discovering CS while studying abroad in Geneva, Switzerland. I used CS extensively to meet travelers while living, studying, and working in Venice, Italy in 2016 and hosted a few people myself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I use Couchsurfing mainly as a medium to meet people! I also try to attend local Couchsurfing events.

I joined Couchsurfing to meet new people and explore new places! To get the authentic experience wherever I go and not just the touristy side. I signed up in the middle of my Switzerland study abroad adventure after my friend who was studying abroad in Japan said that there's a big Couchsurfing culture in Europe. I really wanted to meet locals, since there's a tendency to close yourself off and only hang out with classmates in study abroad programs.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English and Chinese and can also try teaching how to dance. I absolutely love and am super open to learning and trying new things, especially new dance styles (I've always wanted to learn Latin dance in particular!).
