ABOUT ME
Hello Couch Surfers/Couch Surferettes. My name is Leia, I'm 21, I come from Bristol, UK.
I'm a very positive individual with a good outlook on life. I'm very open minded. Generally speaking, If I'm learning or experiencing something new then I'm a happy girl. My eyes are always wide open, eager to see, learn and do.
Most people would describe me as calm and down to earth. That said, I feel I am a very communicative person. I'm notorious for always striking a conversation with the nearest person.
I used to work as a photographer in a portrait studio. I've recently moved into the world of TEFL. I feel like I have the best job in the world. I'm currently teaching in Austria for the winter, I enjoy every minute here. I love my job. Having young students keeps me sharp and smiling.
I'm currently traveling around Europe (I'm in Austria until April) teaching EFL.I love travelling, meeting new people and photography- my job suits me perfectly.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am completely new to couch surfing, I have heard nothing but great things. The idea of it is a pretty powerful one. I'm really excited about making new friends and connections with people from all corners of the world. I'm here to meet, greet, learn, share, laugh, experience, and gain friends for life.
Interests
I must admit, I find this box hard to fill in...
Photography - I will never go without my camera. Taking pictures of things that make me stop in my tracks, capturing the places I go and the people I meet.
Scuba Diving & Free Diving... A very recent thing I completely fell in love with while I was in Egypt
Food- I'm such a foodie! I like tasty, healthy food. I want to try cuisine from every country in the world. I love to cook for friends and family. It's my way to someone's heart, and theirs to mine. My perfect night is one sat around a kitchen table with good food, booze and conversation.
Music- I don't think I love much more than a really good party or festival. I really love partying, dancing all night long and meeting interesting characters. I like most styles of music and my music collection is pretty diverse. I love music to match your mood and take you on journeys. Live bands, Hip Hop, Breakbeat, House, Electronic, Drum N Bass, Dubstep, Gyspy-folk -ish music, Bluesey Rhythms, Ska, Reggae, Dub, Female vocalists, World music, Chill out... Umm, yeah most things. Apart from heavy thrash/rock.
Dancing- I will go on a night out on a mad dancing mission. It's one of the few occasions where you'll find me being pretty anti-social. I just go into my own world when there's good music and I can dance a night away.
Smiling- I get teased for my cheekbones- they look like little ping-pong balls in my face!
I don't watch much television, but I do love Radio 4. It's brilliant journalism, I learn something new from it each day.
Generally... Trying new things. Seeing new places. Meeting new people.
