ABOUT ME

Since I can remember
I’ve craved this thing: knowledge
A hunger I have yet to satisfy
So, I’ve resigned from college

No decorated professor
Had given me so much truth
As witnessing the sun rise
Or meditating on the roof

Often I saw glimpses
But was hindered by the commotion
Of a riot demanding “success”
I shall give up this hollow devotion

I wish to live humbly
Close to my mother, Earth
I wish to be joyous, full of love,
And know what life is worth

PHILOSOPHY

"Life's a garden, dig it." I guess my personal philosophy would have to include that I believe every person is just as important as the next and all deserve the right to experience life to the fullest in the way that they desire. I try not to live by set standards, stereo-types and veer heavily from labels. I believe that the most important thing I can do with my life is gain experiences and learn from them. Even a bad experience can be a good lesson, so I welcome life and all of its challenges.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Newbie here! I have two surfing experience under my belt and had an absolute blast each time, I'm hooked! I enjoy the culture exchange, the shared laughter, the outdoor adventures and new friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

The books I enjoy would include Candide by Voltaire, The Fountainhead, and other philosophical, thought-provoking reads. I enjoy comedies- Anchorman, The Big Lebowski, and So I married an Axe Murderer to name a few- as well as informative and interesting Documentaries. I love most music, and would be caught listening to anything from classic rock and 80's pop to early ska and old folk music. I'm currently learning how to play the mandolin, so music is becoming a bigger part of my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I dropped everything and bought a one way ticket out west.

I've done a lot of yoga, I've studied on my own a lot about health and exercise, I'd love to learn more about musical instruments, gardening and geeze, everything really!
