About Me

CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Leigh and I come from Canada. At this moment I'm finishing up my two jobs in Paris where I've been working and living since January last. It's been amazing beyond compare making friends, drinking wine, medieval dancing and hanging out in this super city, and I'll be sad to move on. But there is so much to see out there! So I'll cope.
I'm looking forward to doing more travelling in July before I head home to Canada in August. My brother has just arrived in Paris and together we'll set out for the netherlands, Germany, the czech republic, austria and anywhere else we run into on the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am traveling my self, but soon, very soon I will be back in Toronto and happy to show anyone around or just hang out. Toronto is a really great city especially if you've got the inside track!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been reasonably nomadic since graduating highschool 5 years ago. Most of my couch surfing experience has been staying with friends of friends while abroad.
Couch surfing is also a great way to catch up with old, old friends. I spent one great Queen's day weekend in Amsterdam staying with one of my old friends from Kindergarten.
I think my favorite experience was living with my best friend's family in my last year of University. My school is in a small town in the eastern townships whose population triples when the students arrive. It was great living with my adoptive family and being able to escape the student bubble and get in on the townie life. So many pancake breakfasts and seasonal bazaars! To think I could have missed out on all that fudge!

Interests

I like languages. My French has improved a lot since I arrived, and, since my work is pretty international, so has my Danish, Finish, Portuguese and Spanish. Other stuff I like: trying new foods, films, car rides, train rides, baking, bass guitare, bicycling
