I'm a pretty mellow, easy to get along with kind of person. I try to find the good in everyone and in every situation. I'm a musician and have spent the last few years touring, busking or taking waitressing jobs to support my passion. I love meeting new people and seeing new places and anything outdoors. A good adventure is a good song and we all need an outlet to tell our stories :).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've had this account for a long time but never actually used it. I've traveled quite a bit but have usually stuck to camping or staying in hostels. I've moving to Austin to pursue my music and am hoping to find a couple hosts that are willing to put me up for a few nights until I can find a room to rent.

I love old folk artists like Guy Clark and Townes Van Zandt, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, John Prine. Gregory Alan Isokov is also one of my favorites as well as Gillian Welch, Ray LaMontagne and Peter Bradley Adams. I don't watch much TV so I'm the worst person to have on your trivia team and haven't seen most major movies that people quote. I do read a lot. My favorite book is the alchemist, I also loved Into the Wild, Life of Pie, Jack London's stories or biographies on my favorite musicians.

I drove to Alaska by myself. That was quite the experience....
