Life soars by in a blink of an eye. I want to make that blink one hell of an adventure :) Back home in Canada I work as a helitak wildland firefighter, during the off-season I set my sights on unknown horizons and explore.

Travel has taught me so much about the world we share and, even more valuably, it has taught even more about myself.

CURRENT TRIP:

Taking on Europe with a bicycle as I ride from Lisbon to Turkey crossing the entire continent with a side trip into Africa to visit Morocco! :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Being a budget traveler taking on Europe means that I will need to sacrifice a lot of comforts. I plan on sleeping in my tent, avoiding the high costs of hostels in order to stick to my budget and make it through my journey. That means I will depend, at times, on the kind and open hearted people of couch surfing to offer me a chance to have a night out of the cold and hopefully even a warm shower! Many people that I mention this to have mixed feelings. I find that depending on kindness is an incredibly valuable experience. There is such an immense amount of it out there and sometimes you need to put yourself out there realize just how caring people really are. It warms the heart and sets itself so deeply inside you that it cannot help but rub off and leave you feeling lightened from the experience.

Last year I completed a solo 40,000km motorcycle trip from Canada to the edge of South America and back!
