Overview
About Me
I am fun-loving. I like to have a good time and meet new people. I love to travel. I spent 8 months living in Johannesburg and enjoying the CS family there. I am committed to being a lifelong member of the CS community.
I am a self-employed foodie who loves wine and cooking.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because hotels are cute, but people are better.
I’m on Couchsurfing to meet real humans, experience culture from the inside, and explore new places in ways that don’t involve beige lobbies or awkward continental breakfasts. After living full-time on the road in an RV for four years — and recently moving to Mexico — I’ve learned that the best travel experiences always come with good conversation and a little laughter.
I love swapping stories, sharing meals, wandering new places, and those unexpected “wow, how did we get here?” moments that only happen when you open your door (or climb a ladder) and let life be interesting.
I’m not here for a free bed or to offer one — I’m here for connection, culture, and community. If you bring good energy, curiosity, and respect, we’ll get along just fine. If not… well, the hotels are lovely this time of year 😌
Interests
I’m curious by nature and love meaningful conversation mixed with laughter. I enjoy cultural exchange, travel stories, and learning how people experience the world from where they stand.
I love cooking (especially when it turns into shared meals or recipe swaps), good coffee, and relaxed evenings with music at a reasonable volume. I’m drawn to creative people, thoughtful travelers, and anyone who enjoys connection without needing a packed agenda.
I lived as a full-time RVer for four years, so travel isn’t just a hobby — it’s a lifestyle I genuinely understand. I’ve recently moved to Mexico, and I’m always open to exploring, wandering, or touring around together when timing and energy align.
I appreciate calm, beautiful spaces, fresh air, and the kind of conversations that happen naturally over food or tea. I’m equally happy with a good chat or giving each other space — balance matters.
And of course, there’s Brini, my friendly dog, who enjoys meeting new people and quietly supervising the household from ground level.
If you enjoy curiosity, kindness, good food, and respectful shared space, we’ll probably get along just fine.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done (…or a Few)
I’ve lived a life that doesn’t fit neatly in a box — which is probably why I love travel and cultural exchange so much.
I spent four years living full-time in an RV, learning how little you actually need and how much people matter. More recently, I packed up and moved to Mexico, and I’m currently soaking up the freedom to explore and tour around with fellow travelers when the timing is right.
I’ve spent summers traveling through Europe, collecting stories, friendships, and the kind of perspective you only get by being somewhere long enough to listen instead of rush.
Along the way, I’ve had a few wonderfully random moments — like watching Smokey Robinson receive his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and playing football with Anthony Anderson back in high school (yes, that Anthony Anderson).
And then there are the moments that matter most: I’ve helped save someone’s home from foreclosure, which remains one of the most meaningful things I’ve ever done — proof that being in the right place with the right skills can change someone’s life.
Life has given me stories from the fun to the deeply human, and I enjoy sharing them just as much as hearing yours.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach:
I can share insights from a life spent traveling, living simply, and building community in unexpected places. I’m happy to talk about RV life, relocating internationally, navigating new cultures, cooking real meals in small kitchens, and what it means to create home wherever you land. I can also share practical wisdom around housing, resilience, and helping people find stability when life throws curveballs.
Learn:
I love learning how others live, think, and move through the world. I’m especially curious about different cultures, personal journeys, creative paths, and what “home” means to people in different places. If you’ve got stories, perspectives, or lessons from the road, I’m all ears.
Share:
Good conversation, shared meals when the mood strikes, travel stories, laughter, and a calm, respectful space. I believe the best exchanges happen naturally — over coffee, while cooking, or after a long day of exploring.
If you’re open, curious, and enjoy mutual exchange (not transactional hosting), we’ll probably get along just fine.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m a respectful, communicative guest who understands shared space and values clear expectations. Having lived on the road for years, I’m mindful, adaptable, and easy to host.
I enjoy genuine cultural exchange — good conversation, shared stories, and learning from one another — while also being comfortable with independence and personal space.
I’m happy to help in practical ways, whether that’s cooking a meal, sharing recipes, or simply being a considerate presence in the home. I believe in leaving a place better (or at least just as good) as I found it.
Above all, I show up with gratitude, curiosity, and respect for the generosity of hosting.
