About Me

I am frequently in awe of the world around me; the forest, the mountains, the rivers, creeks and streams and all the amazing beings - plant, animal and human - that I get to meet and be in relationship with. I seek ways to connect more deeply, experience more fully and to be in service to and with others who seek also to create more balance and beauty in the world.
In half a century I've played quite a few roles - mostly prescribed to me by family, religion, culture, and society. And now I do my best to claim my own passions and my own roles. Some of them include nature connection guide, shamanic practitioner, teacher of breath and movement, and sacred song crafter. Below are some other parts I play:

Spiritual Anarchist
Bringer of Fire
Wild Hearted Wonderer
Reflector of Light
Tiny Golden Thread in the Tapestry of Life
Divine Player
Swiss Army Knife
Dirt Worshiper
Dream Walker
Tree Hugger
Creek Talker
Forest Bather
Music Maker
Poet
Painter
Memory Excavator
and Custodian of a Magic Drum

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am committed to creating and transitioning to more intelligent and compassionate ways of living with and relating to the natural world and to other humans - including exploring/creating new economies that are life and freedom affirming. Couch-surfing, it seems to me, is a celebration of generosity, connection and interdependence, and is fully in alignment with those ideals.
As I am embarking on a more nomadic lifestyle over the coming months, I am grateful to benefit from the generosity of others who are willing and able to share their homes and provide others with the opportunity to move more freely in the world. Once I return to the foothills of the Appalachian mountains of Kentucky, I hope to host you in the beautiful land I call home!
